Affectionately known as “KP”, Dr. Kazique J. Prince is founder and chief executive officer at Jelani Consulting, LLC based in Austin, Texas.  Jelani Consulting, LLC, provides executive and leadership consultation and coaching services focused on cultural competency for individuals, teams, and organizations in business, education, government, healthcare, and for non-profit groups. Throughout his career, Dr. Prince carved out a reputation as a dynamic and comprehensive communicator and trusted adviser. Governed by a focused vision for the future and fueled by a passion to make a difference in the new global economy, he has considerable experience in the areas of Project & Program Management, Diversity & Inclusion Management, and Cross-functional Leadership Development. He also owns a powerful understanding of people and what motivates them, drawing upon unique skill sets to sell, counsel and encourage others towards meaningful, lasting change.

 

 

As a change agent who seeks the broader view in all situations, Dr. Prince draws upon resources and deep knowledge base to assist others in utilizing their own strengths and capabilities. He collaborates with clients working on managing cultural differences by trailblazing through opposition, spearheading forward-thinking, cutting-edge initiatives and programs while successfully uniting team members behind common goals.

 

Dr. Prince serves as the Advisory Council Chair to the Austin’s African American Cultural Heritage District and member of the Texas Diversity Council’s Central Texas Advisory Council. He has taught as an adjunct professor and lecturer at The University of Texas at Austin and St. Edward’s University for graduate and undergraduate students.  KP received his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at The University of Georgia at Athens, Ed.S. in Counseling Psychology at Georgia State University, Ed.M. in Counseling Psychology at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and B.S. in Psychology from the Benjamin Banneker Honors College at Prairie View A&M University. He is also a Board Certified Diplomat in African Centered/Black Psychology through The Association of Black Psychologists and certified administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory through IDI, LLC. Father of two burgeoning teenagers, he volunteers with his children’s Parent-Teacher Association as the Membership & Outreach Chair and supports various others activities in the Austin area.

Jamie Lynn Guyden, MD is Board Certified by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. This New Jersey native began her medical career in Houston, Texas performing electrodiagnostic evaluations to patients with upper and lower extremity nerve complaints. Her career took a drastic turn in 2010 as her personal health journey compelled her to reevaluate her professional interests.

 

Her then 18 year struggle with Systemic Lupus had become overwhelming and unacceptable. She sought out a holistic and integrative approach that would lead to life changing management of her disease. Dr. Guyden is now healthier than ever without pharmaceutical medications or traditional medical therapies. She has now made it her life’s mission to share this knowledge with patients, family and friends. Her professional interests focus on integrative and wellness health services geared towards both prevention and reversal of common diseases. She whole-heartedly believes that proper education and support are the keys to successful patient outcomes.

 

Dr. Guyden resides in Austin, Texas with her husband, Alexander and daughter, Aria. She leads an active lifestyle, enjoys meditating and finds great personal fulfillment as a wife, mother, sister, daughter, mentor and friend.

Tonya Lyles, LAc, a graduate of AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine, has obtained a Master's Degree in Oriental Medicine and minored in Medical Qi Gong and Asian Bodywork. Tonya also has apprenticed in Medical Qi Gong, crystal and gemstone therapy, and Sound Current Healing, REIKI,  and SEICHIEM. Her treatments are a divine synthesis of the healing arts and essential oils she has studied.  

 

Tonya is more than a licensed acupuncturist; she's a healing artist, as well as, a writer, drummer, dancer, mentor, and advocate. As the founder of Samadhi Divine Medicine, she successfullyoffers treatment, prevention, and care to complicated chronic disease cases. She has studied intensively to integrate transcendental medicine to assist the body to heal and clients to live at an optimal level.

 

As a meditation instructor, her Qi Gong classes focus on harvesting energy from the heavens and earth to restore the body's energy and soothe the spirit. Through this meditative practice she  teaches participants to harvest qi, expand breath, ground the spirit and self, regain energetic balance, and connect to heaven and earth.

Dominique Renee Bowman

Dominique Renee Bowman is an Austinite with Chicago roots. She has found success at the nexus of advocacy, business and community. She has carved a niche for herself as an entrepreneur, conduit, activist and passionate speaker on all things community engagement, education, food justice and health/wellness.  

 

Dominique is the Senior Development Officer at Huston-Tillotson University and the Founder/Executive Director of The Green Lots Project, a non-profit organization with a national commitment to engage, inspire and educate communities on organizing Community Food Systems. In addition, she is the Vice-Chair City of Austin/Travis County Sustainable Food Policy Board, board member of Cooperation Texas, staff advisor for Green Is The New Black, a student environmental group at Huston-Tillotson University and a member of the Douglass Club of Austin.
